    2. "Neutron Nightmare!" (Superman) written by Marv Wolfman, penciled by Joe Staton, inked by Frank McLaughlin, colored by Gene D'Angelo and lettered by Ben Oda. Introduces and gives the origin of Neutron.
    3. "Air Wave goes Blank!" (Air-Wave) written by Bob Rozakis, penciled by Alex Saviuk, inked by Frank Chiaramonte, colored by Jerry Serpe and lettered by Milt Snapinn. Hal Jordan, who is now Air Wave, dresses up like green Lantern for a Halloween party.

    Notes:

    • This issue contains the Hostess Superhero Ad, Red Tornado in "Clean Sweep".
    • In the story "Neutron Nightmare!" it is the first appearance of Neutron.
    • In the story "Neutron Nightmare!" when the Galaxy Broadcasting Communications bought the Daily Planet, the iconic Daily Planet Globe was removed from the building. The building was no longer referred to as the Daily Planet but as the Galaxy Communications Building. In honor of the 150th anniversary, Lois Lane recommended that the Daily Planet Globe would be placed back onto the Galaxy Communications Building. At first Morgan Edge wasn't going for it complaining that he didn't want the Daily Planet Globe over his penthouse "like some sword of Damocles". However, he had a change of heart.
    • In the story "Air Wave goes Blank!" Green Lantern appears as a cameo headshots only.
