Who is the mysterious man who knows everything about Superman and claims to be Jonathan Kent?

Who is the other mystery man who has appeared in Metropolis and seems to be able to bend the entire world to his will?

Has Superman finally met his match in the one person who can beat him black-and-blue?

Will it even matter anymore that Lois knows with certainty that Clark and Superman are one-and-the-same?

A Super Letdown 0

In the previous issue of Action Comics, we were given two parallel storylines - both of them page-turning mysteries - one involving a man claiming to be Jonathan Kent, with everything from the memories to the fingerprints to prove it, and a young man named Starshine who had the ability to make anything he wanted happen by merely wishing it out loud.  I worried that the writer might have written himself into a corner here and half to resort to an alternate worlds, magic, or dream/imaginary story ...
