A great start to a spooky Arc

If your wanting to jump onto AC after Doomed or are barely getting into Superman comics, now is the time.

Pak has completely won me over and IMO he's been the best Superman writer of the New 52 (slightly beating Grant Morrison). I've always thought Pak shined best writing young Clark, but this issue proves he can write him even in his more experience years. We see Clark (not Superman) help people rebuild their homes, he notices that they don't need Superman and feels that he doesn't want to take away them rebuilding their homes.

Lana continues to be a great addition to the Action Comics title. Her and Clark's friendship is very interesting to see. In previous issues we saw how Lana knows what Clark, but in this issue we saw the other side. Lana who is a strong women and ready to fight was broken by the sight of her dead parents, and that pissed of the Man of Steel. Lana's relationship with Steel is also very entertaining. I'm hoping Steel plays a part in this arc. Hiro also makes an appearance as Superman's tech guy, an other character who is loads of fun. Unless you read Batman/Superman his appearance may seem forced and you may be asking yourself why not ask Batman or Cyborg, but honestly I like that they are broadening the Superman characters pool by not using the same characters over and over again. Plus characters like Lana and Hiro are no cheap knock offs, they bring in their own special flavor to this title.

The arc is set up perfectly by how nice everyone in town and how peaceful things had gotten in the 2 months after the Braniac attack. All of those elements made the reveal at the end super creepy and I'm exited to read more.

The only thing I can think is wrong about this issue is that Clark's time on the construction site was sorta small and could have used a few more pages, but that's just cus I loved how well written that part was.

    Rating-9.5

After the dreadful event that was "doomed" or whatever it was called, I had to drop Action Comics simply, because it unfortunately got absorbed into the event, which severely limited Pak's creativity. I was in it for Clark, Lana and their adventure, and I wasn't going to buy almost every single superman title just to enjoy Paks writing. However, all of that is in the past now, and I finally get to enjoy a regular story about superman and his friends. Now bare in mind that I haven't reviewed a co...

      Action Comics-Starring: Lana Lang! 0

Superman can be a difficult character to really capture properly; but Greg Pak has been demonstrating an incredible adeptness at this task. His opening arc of Action Comics demonstrated some seriously impressive character work for the Man of Steel, and he's quickly made Lana Lang into a genuinely compelling character. But the plot for that arc was a little lackluster at times; and then the art started to get wildly inconsistent. But things are back on track. I'm still not completely sold on the ...
