    The Story: Superman escapes from military custody. My Thoughts:This second issue of the series offers readers something we've never really seen before while reading a Superman comic. Grant Morrison continues to surprise and keep readers on the edge of their seats with his interpretation of the early years of Superman's crime fighting career. We once again see a vulnerable Superman who is able to be physically hurt in other ways than kryptonite or magic. I like this approach a lot. Personally I f...

    The Good: I have absolutely no idea why, but I can't stop gushing over how amazing Rags Morales artwork is in this series. Everything has exactly the right amount of force and weight. The action is ACTION. And everything else is action waiting to happen. Good god does Morrison write a great Lex Luthor. THIS is EXACTLY the kind of Lex Luthor who makes me like reading Superman.     We’re now two issues into what is, hands down, my favorite series of the DCnU and I’m still just as enthusiastic as I was last month. The thing I like best about Morrison’s new take on Superman is how the Man of Steel is almost always in motion. One of my major criticisms of Straczynski’s take on Superman was that he was talking (and mostly lecturing) rather than doing.
