    Old Ghosts

    Story-

-It's Halloween in the Fortress of Solitude, and one of the Phantom Zone's prisoners is Haunting Kal-El

    Good-

-This is my favorite Superman comic of the new 52, the art is haunting and Grant Morrison's story-telling is still wonderful

-We see more "skeletons in the closet" of Jor-El, so to speak, which is cool, and it's not as past-oriented as Superman #0, and we learn more about the Phantom Zone, how it works and it's history, which only means Zod is right around the corner somewhere.

-A new villain called Xa-Du is introduced, i actually like him alot. I would like to know more why he was trapped in the Phantom Zone, and i felt kinda bad that he never had a parole hearing because of planetary detonation.

-People in the Phantom Zone basically being Ghosts in the real world is cool, and Halloweeny.

-We learn how Krypto survived the explosion of Krypton

-This story doesn't require a part 2, it tells a full story in on comic, which is what has been annoying me in Justice League comics. Sometimes readers don't want a 6 issue comic about a villain we don't care for.

-the Phantom Stranger Shows up, which is cool

    Bad-

-The Phantom Stranger shows up, the complaint is actually more that P.S.has an origin and runnind series. I like him having guest appearances like in this comic, rather than a story about him

    Verdict-

-This is a great comic, the haunting art is phanominal, and the one shot story is great. I'd recommend it, its a good read the first time and the seventh

This has been a good series and had a brilliant start. I just feel that it has had too many one-shot issues and needs to focus on more story arcs. Although I say that and the fact this is a one-shot issue I don't mind when like this issue it is amazing. I have really liked Morrison's work over the years and I am sure I will remember this run fondly even if it's not at the top of my favourite Grant Morrison series' list. It's also nice to read a superhero comic book of his after reading his new c...

It’s getting close to Halloween so Grant Morrison decided to tell us a ghost story. He’s spent the last few issues of his run on Action Comics giving us origins for the villains in the Anti-Superman Army from issues #5 and 6. With this issue he tells the tale of a Superman nemesis linked to the Phantom Zone which keeps the worst Kryptonian criminals trapped in a wraith-like state. The Phantom Zone is, of course, a recurring concept in the mythology of Superman and it was great to see some of its...
