Quasar First confrontation: Unknown Wendell Vaughn a.k.a Quasar was a low level S.H.I.E.L.D agent when he first encountered the Quantum Bands that Captain Marvel once wore. The SHIELD scientists were experimenting on the bands. Another SHIELD agent names Wesley was using the bands and was unable to control the power they possessed and exploded in front of everyone in the lab. Right after this explosion one of the scientists who was a traitor to the A.I.M organization signaled the AIM terrorist cell to attack and steal the bracelets. Wendell decided to use the bands to protect his father and SHIELD. Once he put on the bands he defeated the entire AIM terrorist cell which consisted of about 50 robots. Nick Fury immediately gave him a job as founder of the SHIELD Super-Agents. Quasar along with his cosmic powered Quatum Bands became Protector of the Universe and has sense then battled the cosmic threats to our galaxy. |

Abraxas wanted to use a weapon called the Ultimate Nullifier to destroy Earth-616 as well as all parallel realities. After the death of Galactus on Earth-616, Abraxas was free to rome all dimensions killing all other versions of Galactus he found. The Fantastic four was made to battle a number of Abraxas' followers before they went on a mission to recover the Ultimate Nullifier the only weapon that could destroy Abraxas. |
