Figured I'd update my first Respect Thread. Make it more presentable.
A spy for the Soviet Union and a loving husband, Emil Blonsky was tasked with a specific mission to travel to the United States and infiltrate one of their military bases to sabotage all nuclear warheads, missiles, and any other equipment that would give the U.S. the upper hand in a possible upcoming war. During this mission, He would encounter Dr. Robert Bruce Banner.
Banner had constructed a device in which to kill himself, by overdosing on gamma rays. Emil would accidentally activate the machine and expose him to nearly twice the radiation that created the Hulk. His body would contort and mutate, transforming him into:
The Abomination
Note* This thread will contain some Tyrannus feats as well since he inhabited the Abomination's body.
As the Abomination, Emil gained astonishing levels of Super Strength, Durability, Regeneration, and other notable powers. For example:
1-3. Abominations body easily deflects bullets.
4. He can even withstand bazooka shells without any signs of harm. His super strength allows him to easily tear apart metal structures and his legs are powerful enough to leap great distances.
5. Abomination is capable of surviving the cold vacuum of space, and is capable of trading blows with The Strongest One There Is.
6. For reasons yet explained, Abomination is semi-aquatic. He can survive on both land and sea.
He has tested his might time and again against powerful foes. One major one in particular...
Abomination vs Hulk
Shortly after his transformation, he took on the incredible hulk, starting their rivalry.
Within three pages, Abomination easily beats Hulk within an inch of his life.
At this point in time, Abomination was vastly stronger than the Hulk. Banner would later use a device to siphon away some of Blonsky's power, in order to make him more manageable.
Battles Hulk on an alien ship
Hulk is taken aboard an alien ship and discovers Abomination is the first mate.
Despite being weaker than in their first encounter, Abomination still appears to be an even match for the Hulk.
Battles Hulk in outer space
Hulk and Abomination free float through space and battle it out until they float their way back to earth (don't ask me how they are talking.)
The fight floated a great distance as the two beat each other mercilessly.
While Hulk delivered the final punch, It took all he had left, as both exhausted themselves in this fight.
Abomination then survived orbital re-entry.
Note* A combination of the exhaustion, the powerful punch, and re-entry put Abomination in a coma for two years. This would not be the only time he would re-enter the atmosphere.
"Warfare In Wonderland"
Abomination is forced into a battle with the Hulk by Ross and his allies, believing that his own life is at stake and will die if he fails to capture him. He confronts Jade Jaws at and amusement park.
Both opponents display power to put them on near equal footing; however, the madder Hulk gets, the stronger he gets. Realizing this, Abomination takes advantage of his surroundings and uses a combination of stealth and hit and run tactics.
He then uses his clever mind to trick Hulk into an alliance to end the fight.
Vs Joe Fixit
Abomination attacks a gamma base and discovers Banner. Bruce was in the middle of a heart attack due to being poisoned, and Abomination goes out of his way to save Banner's life just to keep the rivalry going.
Given Joe's lower base strength level, Abomination finds it incredibly easy to overwhelm him.
In the end, he is hit with highly acidic chemicals and his body melts into near paste. Even this is not enough to kill him.
Within a few hours, most of his body had repaired itself.
Vs Prof.
After a while of peace between them, Hulk and Abomination battle again over a misunderstanding. One that will turn fatal.
Both Hulk and Abomination, once again appear evenly matched, though nether wanted this fight. It is after the slaughter of his friends, that Emil cuts loose.
Abomination employs clever tactics of concealment, using heavy steam to block everyone's view. With this he uses hit and run tactics, easily pummeling the Hulk and then goes on to pick apart the police force.
The fight escalates both figuratively and literally, as Abomination knocks Hulk through the sewers ceiling and into the streets. The blow actually makes Hulk dizzy.
While onboard the chopper, Abomination shrugs off a blow from the Hulk, and then tanks the choppers blades like they are nothing. In fact the blades snap upon impact and he laughs hysterically.
Final Battle Prior to Death (Hulk starts the fight near bloodlusted)
Wanting revenge against Dr. Banner for not only denying him the right to be with the woman he loved, but also the deaths of his homeless friends, Abomination murdered Betty Ross. Now fueled by rage, Hulk brings the fight to Abomination, leading to a bloody brawl.
Despite Hulk already being enraged, Abomination holds his own very well, even bloodying the Hulk's face early into the battle.
This battle truly shows Abominations raw power and tenacity. He was perfectly capable of keeping up with a bloodlusted Hulk, and even after the vicious onslaught he receives when Hulk becomes too powerful, he still remained conscious.
Note* This is the last time Hulk fought Blonsky, prior to the Chaos War. There is another battle that features illustrations by Mike Deodato Jr. and story by Bruce Jones; however, the events of that story (and many others by Jones) were retconned into actually just being a dream brought about by the villain Nightmare.
Now onto other opponents
Vs Shield
After fusing his consciousness with the Abomination, Tyrannus seeks to Dominate the earth. Shield detects high levels of radiation and heads out to face whatever may be at the crash site.
Abominations body easily withstands orbital re-entry.
With one hand, he creates a powerful quake that tears apart the ground and launches men and tanks through the air.
Vs She-Hulk and Spider-Man
Tyrannus abandons the body of Abomination, and leaves Emil to his fate as the monster; however, the process left Abomination rabid.
Initially, neither could do much to stop him. She-Hulk was too worried about civilians to go all out, but given Emil's state, he easily overwhelmed her and knocked her out. Spider-man's luck was no better. He threw one heavy punch that did one of two things: jack and sh*t. He did not have the strength to deal any damaged to such a mighty enemy.
Vs Namor, Andromeda, and Triton
With his wife Nadia at risk, Abomination is forced to fight for her safety, by an old comrade from the Soviet Union. This puts him on a collision against the Submariner.
Incredibly, Abomination easily overwhelms and knocks Namor out cold. In his own element of water no less. Something the Hulk had previously been unable to do.
He pretty much oneshots his allies.
After Namor wakes up, he continues the fight by going on the offensive.
Abomination still holds his own quite well against Namor while deep under water.
The pair start the fight near the bottom of the trench, with Abomination showing enough strength to hurl Namor clear past the surface of the water and hundreds of feet into the air. He had to exert enough strength to bypass over 10,000 feet of water. It was more than Namor could handle as he couldn't break his ascent.
Namor tries using rapid descent against Abomination, and while this works to injure him, his body is still able to withstand the sudden change in water pressure at 15,000 feet.
Vs Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch)
On the run from authorities, Danny attempts to hid in in a abandon subway station. He inadvertently scares/injuries some homeless people living there, putting him at odds with their protector.
Abomination displays superior strength as his blows knock Ghost Rider around.
He tanks a punch from Danny and is unimpressed.
Later he tanks and massive hellfire blast, and rises to his feet ready to rumble.
Chaos War
During the Chaos War, Abomination is recruited by Amatsu-Mikaboshi and is sent on a mission to find Marlo.
Vs Hulk Family
Abomination is amped by the Chaos King and given access to hellfire. With his newfound power he effortlessly tears apart the armored hide of A-bomb.
With just two fingers he slices open the throat of Hulk, and goes on to easily manhandle Jen and Betty.
The group are saved by Doctor Strange
While briefly fighting Betty, He appears to barely feel pain. Almost chuckling at her efforts
He then easily catches her fist and drops her with a headbutt.
It takes the combined efforts of Hulk, She-hulk, Red She-Hulk, Samson, and Korg just to overwhelm him; however, this did not take him out of the fight as seen after Brian Banner arrived, he was still taking on the Hulk Family.
Resurrection
After being revived by a shadow organization, Abomination returns. While under the organizations control, he is mindless and in a feral state. He also seems to have a new ability: either Radiation Drain or Disruption. Judging by the scans in the fight, if it is drain, it appears to work at a slow pace, allowing Hulk to still grow stronger; however, it is sufficient enough to stack the gamma absorbed onto his already monstrous strength.
He sent after the Hulk to capture him.
Vs Hulk and The Avengers
Abomination displays greater power than previously shown. Every hit appears devastating and he easily no sells Hulk's attacks.
As the fight continues, It becomes very apparent that Hulk is outmatched, as Abomination beats Hulk into a bloody mess. Hulk is beaten so bad that he reverts back to Banner.
He is saved by a timely intervention from the Avengers.
Abomination's radioactivity affects Iron Man's armor and even affects Captain Marvel. He easily overwhelms the Avengers, continuing past them to get to Bruce.
Even after Bruce Hulk's out, Abomination still beats the piss out of him.
Hulk manages to get in a few good shots, but that does little to derail the pain-train, as Abomination once again overwhelms him.
Both Marvel and Sunspot use their abilities to absorb Radiation to try and still Abomination as well has hamper his abilities. His is almost too much though as the pair are feeling overwhelmed.
Using a teleportation device, The team are able to BFR Abomination to Jupiter, ending the fight.
