Throughout his life Aaron had troubling dreams about monsters, when he discovered the underground city Midian he found his dreams were a reality. And that he too was a monster, Aaron is now the leader of the Nightbreed, taking a new name, Cabal.

Aaron was having troubling dreams so he decided to see a psychiatrist by the name of Decker. Unfortunately for Aaron Boone, Dr Decker was a serial killer currently looking for a patsy to take the fall for his crimes. Drugging Boone during their sessions Dr Decker started to prep Boone with pictures & plant false repressed memories taken from Decker's sadistic crime scenes. Once completed Dr Decker would call the police & claim he had found their murderer.

This all went to according plan for Decker as he had Boone convinced he was guilty as well. Up until the point Boone ran away following his own original dreams, the ones that made him see a doctor in the first place. Driven by some need he left his girlfriend to travel upstate to a mysterious town called Midian. It was there that he was infected by a real life monsters bite, escaping for his life Aaron ran straight into the Cops & Decker who followed him to Midian unaware of the supernaturals living there they shot Boone on Decker's warning of a gun he didn't have. Boone died but thanks to the bite of a monster of Midian he rose from the dead that night a monster himself breaking out of the morgue.

Meanwhile his girlfriend had tracked him down looking to find the place where he died drawn by unanswered questions. Not believing Aaron Boone was a serial Killer.
