A retelling of the Battle of Thermopylae, where the Spartan King Leonidas led 300 warriors against the 1,000,000-strong Persian army, successfully holding off the invaders until the Greek city-states could muster an army large enough to defeat the invaders.

What is an epic? an extended tale of gods and heroes. The word epic and greece go way back. This tale though was actually true, and though not historically accurate, thats what makes it epic. The real battle historically was amazing, but to see frank millers ideas and thoughts of how it went down through his story of it is phenomenal. This isn't a light movie. This is a heavy toned adrenaline filled epic. This is a movie that you are entertained by. Is that not what makes a good movie?...
