dmstarz's 2000 AD #1143 - Prog 1143 review

    dmstarz's top 25 2000AD covers no 18

A brilliantly dramatic cover from Simon Fraser.  There's loads going on here.  I love Dante fearlessly coming forward towards the silhouetted cross swords, his foot leaning extravagantly forward as he pounces.  I love the fact that the cover is like an old time western with our hero and the bad guys on top of a train, which we can not only see is moving through mountains but over a very high looking bridge.  I love the fact there's a love interest infinitely more concerned about her state of health than the man with the sword.  But do you know what I love most of all?  The fact that Nikolae has a slight pudgy looking belly - that's no six pack, that's for sure.
