    It's hard to believe now but back in 1997, when this comic was released, Tony Blair was actually really, really popular.  The Tories had been finally ousted from the British government after 18 years and New Labour's ascending into power felt like a new dawn.  Hope abounded everywhere.  Granted, there were probably a few dissenters but not many.  So trust 2000AD's bunch of old cynics to be amongst the first to put the boot in.  I like the way that Blair is transposed as a kind of superhero, the ...
