    These tribute covers are kind of brilliant in that the let you know the creators are aware that they aren't being extremely original, and they're not trying to hide it. And even then, yes it's the same as Battle Royale and Hunger Games, but it's not completely. Did BR or HG have superpowers? I think not.     Good: As much as I hate the premise, this is the first book I picked up to read today. Not any of the Death in the Family tie-ins, not Harbinger or XO Man-o-War, this book right here. That speaks to how ridiculously compelling it is, watching characters who I love being thrown into certain death. An advantage that a book like Avengers Arena has over Battle Royale or Hunger Games is that many readers go in already knowing the characters.
