The female FREEDOM FIGHTER debuts in her own miniseries!

Featuring her partner-in-crimefighting, the diminutive dynamo known as DOLL MAN!

Many years ago, in Metropolis' Suicide Slum, reporter Harry Knight and his wife were murdered by a criminal top-dog. Now their daughter Jennifer Knight fights crime as the superheroine Phantom Lady.

Her "Black Light Gloves" are armed with a black light ray which can cause dense fog, manifest hard light objects and lengthen to form a 'shadow slide'.

A scene from six months prior, shows Jennifer working as an amateur hack while trying to expose the late crimelord Robert Bender's sons, Eli and Cyrus. She tries to prove the fact that Cyrus murdered his own father. Her method is to go undercover. However, Jennifer's cover is blown. Cyrus knows she's sniffing around his operations, and while at a party, he tries to scare her into getting off his back, by beating up her friend Ginger as she watches, without protest.

Jennifer is also sleeping with shrink tech scientist Dane Maxwell, who's a pro at retrieving information hidden in data systems. Jennifer hands him Cyrus' phone, which she has stolen from him. Possession of the cell brings trouble for Jennifer and Dane, with his confession of a deal with Cyrus to conceal the info on the phone, in return for their lives. However, as expected, criminals never keep their promises. Cyrus sends over a gang to Dane's place, and they shoot Jennifer through her leg and take her away. Before going, they lock up Dane inside a glass chamber and hit some buttons, which causes the scientist to transform for the first time into Doll Man.

    Captivating 1st Issue! 0

Recommended!First of all, let me say… I have no background in these characters. I saw that Jimmy and Justin were the writers, so I picked it up. I knew at the very least, I would get a great story, and from a quick flip through the pages, some really nice art.I was pleased to see that my hunch based on the creators paid off… well at least was well worth the money. :)I was also drawn to this book because it was a mini-series. I have come to trust Jimmy and Justin’s work. Period. But their mini-se...

Freedom Fighters Foreshadowing, Part Two 0

Before reading this issue, I knew two things about Phantom Lady. She was prone to shamefully skimpy outfits, and she was part of the Freedom Fighters. So from this cover I can infer that, like The Ray miniseries, this is a modernization of a Freedom Fighter building to an eventual forthcoming Freedom Fighters ongoing. It's a reasonable assumption, The Ray's miniseries ended with him being approached about the Freedom Fighters. The only difference essentially is that this appears to be an update ...
