    Reinforcements Arrive
    Reinforcements Arrive

Things go from bad to worse as Guy Gardner and John Stewart's squad of Green Lanterns is vastly outnumbered by the Intruders, a force that knows how to neutralize any green ring's power. And these invaders have made it abundantly clear: this is personal.

The Seven Green Lanterns locate the ones who have been killing Lanterns and go to bring them to justice only to be overwhelmed by the shear number of the opposition. The Lanterns need to be evacuated or reinforcements quick. They manage to get to the seven but ended up leaving seven behind including John Stewart.

The series here maintains the same level of out put previously established, that is to say that it is good, but that it is bound from being too good by the format and the sometimes formulaic approach it takes.  With the Lanterns on Xabas far outnumbered it seems unlikely that reinforcements will make a difference, that is until a Lantern shows off some unexpected powers.  This leads to a decent battle sequence (though the portion before was pretty good as well) before most of the Lanterns make g...

The Good: Green Lantern Corps continues to show that a rotating cover artist schedule can work. This one's a great recapturing of the tension of the first issue with the first person perspective, and the balance of the cookie cutter army with blank faces over the tense fallen figures on the ground is excellent. The guest artist's style isn't too different than the main artist, so the flow isn't really broken. The panel layouts have a nice style that flows well and sets the tension right. The fir...
