    Inspired by Charles Dickens' immortal classic A Christmas Carol, BATMAN: NOËL features different interpretations of The Dark Knight, along with his enemies and allies, in different eras, from writer/artist Lee Bermejo (JOKER).

    In this spectacular, oversized graphic novel, Batman must come to terms with his past, present and future as he battles villains from the campy 1960s to dark and brooding menaces of today, while exploring what it means to be the hero that he is.

    Fun Fact: The First Noel has got to be my favorite Christmas carol. The GoodI'll be upfront with you, the art is the reason most people will buy this book. It's jaw droppingly gorgeous, beautifully realized, and an all around pleasure to look at. Gotham city has never been more detailed and sadly probably won't be.The story on the other hand does in fact have a lot goign for it as well.     Batman Noel is as the title suggests a Batman Christmas story. The story takes largely inspiration from Charles Dickens with both the moral of the story and the generalized plot. Batman has lost his touch with humanity and he must change his ways or he will never be remembered fondly after his passing and Gotham will become worse without him.     This Batman graphic novel is a must read. It's definitely the kind of book that you turn the last page over with a smile on your face. The book also has a great moral too, that no matter how mean, guilty, or nasty they are, people CAN change. It puts you in the shoes of a poor father trying to feed his family, and gives you a whole different perspective....
