    FLASH QUESTION: Who is The Joker? And what is his dark connection to the Wayne family? 
     
    The hunt for The Joker continues as Jim Gordon seeks out Oracle, who may have some leads as to where the villain is hiding. As Jim approaches the Joker’s alleged hideout, he falls for a treacherous trap that will forever shatter the lives of those he’s trying to save. It’ll be up to Batman to try to save Jim. But when the identity of the Joker is revealed – will the Dark Knight be able to live up to his task?

    I don't think I've read a Batman this vicious, nihilistic, and dark without making the characters ghouls or over the top caricatures.  This is a very Vertigo-esque take on Batman and Azzarello and Risso really take you to the bottom dregs of despair and hopelessness.  It's a shocking and gut wrenching issue.  The character work in this issue is stellar.  I love that all these characters are on their own painful journeys that end in their own tragedy.  Azzarello gives us a masterful noir-level ir...

    Dark, gritty, and shocking... 0

    Batman Knight of Vengeance #1 was one of my favorite Flashpoint tie-in books and issue #2 only amps up what made the first book so good. And if there's another Flashpoint book with this many "Oh My Gosh" moments, I have yet to see it.  If you've been following Flashpoint at all you know that Thomas Wayne is Batman.     Synopsis: The Joker revealed. What's Good? This issue focuses on Jim Gordon mostly. Character wise, he's the same as his original counterpart, only more driven. I consider him the Robin to Thomas Wayne Batman in this universe, only that he doesn't wear a costume. He wants to prove that he wants to change the world, and that's why he goes after The Joker by himself.
