    Amid the protests of both human rights groups and Bruce Wayne, a new Arkham rises. The Joker is scheduled to be its first inmate, but not if Harley Quinn has anything to say about it. Meanwhile, Batman's suspicions lead him to investigate just who is really behind this new, more sprawling asylum and what their motivations might be.

    Batman investigates the new Mayor of Gotham only to encounter the real power behind Arkham City, Hugo Strange. Meanwhile, Harley Quinn rescues the Joker from his murderous jailers.

    The second issue of Arkham City strikes better than the first one. Despite the clashing nature of the cover between Batman and Hugo Strange, their battle is only just beginning and in this issue it stays only at the level of a cat-and-mouse chase. The highlight issue of this issue to me at least was the Joker and Harley Quinn. There are two assassination attempts on the Joker’s life in this issue, but I won’t spoil by whom. We also see Harley in action and we finally see what she is capable of,...

    THE BASICSPart two in Paul Dini's attempt to catch fans of Arkham Asylum up on all the crazy shenanigans leading up to its sequel.MY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFI haven't been very kind to " bridge the gap" stories in the past, and for good reason. The constraints forced upon that kind of story don't do much for creativity, let alone storytelling. But I'll be damned, Paul Dini seems to be writing a good one.     This issue was great. We got to see Batman in action, Hugo Strange, and Arkham City being constructed. All in all this issue was good, but not as good as the first issue. This proves that sometimes sequels can be good. But now, lets get to that review! The Plot: The issue begins with Arkham City being constructed in Gotham. Reporters Jack Ryder and Vicki Vale are there and after spotting Mayor Sharp, question him about Arkham City. Hugo Strange tells Sharp what answers to say by earpiece. Bruce ...
