Pool Party at the Rock Hard Hotel last edited by puppies388 on 09/03/20 12:49PM View full history

Just in time for summer comes the first ever Grimm Fairy Tales swimsuit issue! All of your favorite fairy tale babes are here wearing the seasons sexiest swimsuit fashions. Some of the industries top artists contribute breathtaking pin-ups of the Grimm universes most popular female characters. Also includes the never before published Grimm Fairy Tales short "Pool party at the Hard Rock."

Mostly a collection of the more popular characters in the collected Grimm Fairy Tales series in scantily clad beach clothing.  In many cases the characters are depicted somewhat out of context, either doing activities that they usually would not, or alongside characters that they might normally be opposed to.  There is also a story involving Belinda and Sela as they sit poolside in Las Vegas and decide whether or not humans are inherently good for one another or interested only in their own interests.  As usual though Belinda finds the worst in people and Sela finds the best, as the people who are initially regarded as vain and selfish come together during an emergency as a building collapses near the pool and people who were previously thinking only of themselves begin to think of others.

Chances are this isn't any reader's first encounter with the concept of a 'swimsuit issue'. But for those of you that don't know, the idea is to take one or more characters (most often female) from a series or published universe and depict them pin-up style in bathing suits. More and more the term 'swimsuit' loosens. And so, in that tradition, we come to Zenescope's Grimm Fairy Tales Swimsuit Edition: It's a near 50 page assortment of art, plus a short story at the end. The meat of the thing...

Nothing Grimm About This Eye-Candy... 0

Okay, I know a couple of days ago, I reviewed a Lady Death swimwear issue and cast a bit of a critical eye on that and the whole swimwear/lingerie glamour mags. Then I got my sweaty paws on Grimm Fairy Tales: Swimsuit Edition #1 and...this ones actually quite good. Unlike some of the mags of this theme that I`ve flicked through, the portraits in this issue are actually pretty decent pin-ups.  Beautiful artwork and vibrantly coloured - sure, I guess it`s all eye-candy. It`s all cheesecake art. On...

I have to say that when deciding to maybe check out this series that I was a little hesitant at first.  As I have said before I was a little skeptical of the issues based on the depiction of the women on the cover, but evidently from the first issue of the monthly series I discovered that the cover was like a tease that never got satisfied, instead telling a decent story in its place.  To be honest though I am still a little skeptical of the series so instead I figured to go to the place which m...
