    The second issue exploring the days right before the ongoing Dynamite Green Hornet series (by writer Kevin Smith!). Join writer Ande Parks as he tells a tale of loves lost and ultimate revenge featuring the original Kato, his daughter and the mysterious Black Hornet!

    Summary

    22 years ago, Kato and Sayomi meet for a secret lunch date.

    The two take a dangerous trail to a volcano lake. On the trail Sayomi trips and nearly falls to her death but Kato saves her and promises as long as he is around nothing bad will ever happen to Sayomi.

    Now Kato as discover Hirohito Juuma, the Black Hornet, standing over Sayomi’s lifeless body. Kato is overcome by rage and the two men battle it out. Hiro seems to be winning the fight but Kato has some tricks up his sleeve and gets the better of the younger less trained fighter. Hiro, feeling that he maybe be at a disadvantage, stabs Kato and flees as police Helicopter arrive.

    Days later Kato burns down his house with his dead wife’s body inside and explains to his daughter Mulan that Hiro had beaten him and that if they are to get revenge they need to hide and heal. Mulan agrees and they disappear into the mountains
