Humbug is hired by a ten-year-old boy to rescue his robot from super-villains while Misty and the rest of Heroes for Hire investigate a string of robberies that lead to illegal arms shipments coming into the states from a foreign power.
The title is likely a play on the famous book "Guns, Germs and Steel" by Jarred Diamond. If you like quirky B-list villains (C-list maybe?) this issue is for you. Luke Cage and Iron Fist move over, "Heroes For Hire" is under new management.
In this issue Humbug fights the Headmen (Arthur Nagan, Chondu The Mystic, Ruby Thursday and Jerry Morgan). Meanwhile the rest of Heroes for Hire fights the Grim Reaper, Man-Ape and Saboter.
