    1. Old Ghosts.
    The Spectre is attacking Metropolis!! How can Superman confront such a powerful magical being. Spectre is looking for Lord Satanus as part of his vengeance. Superman desperate tries to lead this battle away form his city and its people that he even offers his soul to Satanus. The battle ends when Satanus couldn't corrupt Superman's soul.
    While this was happening Lois Lane faces a whole different threat. She encounters with his father ghost, and she finally got a chance to tell him all the things she always wanted to.

    Going back and reading/ reviewing assorted back issues of Action Comics, I've unfortunately stumbled across a lot of issues that are merely "ok". This is one of them, and with a comic that has been running for so long, I can't really play the blame game. This one held particular interest for me because the cover prominently featured The Spectre. The Spectre is one of DC's greats. The story takes place on Halloween.
