Conduit returns to his base, Pipeline, after his fight with Superman from Adventures of Superman #0. While we see more of the origin of Kenny Braverman (aka Conduit) and Clark Kent, we find that Conduit once worked for the CIA before they betrayed him. Conduit continues his quest to kill Clark Kent, and plans on attacking him at the reopening ceremony of the Daily Planet. He and his Pipeline agents attack, and Clark Kent’s quick thinking protects his secret identity. Clark Kent drops down a hole created by Conduit, as Superman arrives. Superman defeats Conduit at Centennial Park, at the base of the Superman memorial statue, and the Metropolis SCU take him away. However, construction workers find the corpse of Superman within the statue of Superman, much to everyone’s confusion.
